Breakfast of Poverty Fighting Champions!

ONE-LOGOSaturday, November 16, 10:00 AM

Central Presbyterian Church
7308 York Rd
Towson, MD 21204

Join us for breakfast, fun, and prizes on Saturday, Nov. 16th at 10am! We’re mobilizing ONE members around Baltimore to defend life-saving programs that battle extreme poverty and preventable disease. Programs that provide vaccines, life-saving medicine, assistance to farmers and boost opportunities in Africa are under threat in Congress unless we make our voices heard. In the lead up to World AIDS Day, we want to let our elected officials know that we have made great strides, but there is more work to be done. We will write letters to Congress, beef up our social media skills, plan a 10th Anniversary Kickoff event for January and of course, have some fun! Bring a friend!

Deliver a Thanksgiving Meal

Hopesprings, in conjunction with the Assistance Center of Towson Churches, needs help delivering Thanksgiving meals on the following dates.

Friday, November 18, 2011
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Trinity Episcopal Church

Through the generous donations of local area churches and in conjunction with ACTC, HopeSprings was able to solidify thanksgiving baskets of food for all tenants at Geraldine Young, The Carriage House, Restoration Gardens, and clients at JACQUES Initiative.   We need volunteers to pick up baskets on November 18 at 1:00pm from Trinity Episcopal Church located on 120 Allegheny Ave. in Towson and deliver them directly to The Carriage House, Restoration Gardens, Geraldine Young, and JACQUES Initiative all located in the City of Baltimore.

Saturday, November 19, 2011
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Moveable Feast

Consider delivering groceries the week before Thanksgiving so Moveable Feast’s clients can enjoy Thanksgiving with their family and friends. Many of the clients are homebound and would not otherwise be able to go purchase groceries. They will surely be thankful!

Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Moveable Feast

Consider sharing your time on Thanksgiving morning by delivering meals to those homebound from HIV and other life-threatening conditions. You’ll be home in time to take the Turkey our of the oven!

If you would like to serve, please contact Ashley at Hopesprings.
